2022 Rutgers University Marine Field Station 50th Anniversary Open House

Share This:

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Rutgers Marine Field Station (RUMFS) & the 25th anniversary of the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve (JC NERR) at our Open House event on September 17th, 10am-3pm (all outdoors, rain or shine)! This year, we are hosting the event at TWO locations: RUMFS and the JC NERR!

Rutgers is open again, and we are looking forward to welcoming back our beloved community & sharing the important work that was not only done in the past but continues to this day. Meet Rutgers and JC NERR researchers and scientists and explore the exciting research happening in the Great Bay/Mullica River estuary and beyond: with interactive booths, touch tank, children’s activities, RUMFS 50th Anniversary Merchandise, invited speakers, and more!

If you have ever wondered what happens in the mysterious building at the end of the road, this is your chance to find out!

Visitation of the booths at RUMFS will be available by pre-registered time slots. To better accommodate the crowds and to improve your experience, we are asking participants to register for arrival times. You can reserve ticket times for you and up to 5 guests.
