Better Together: How Rutgers is Leading the Fight against a Global Pandemic

The Better Together event series brings the amazing work being done across Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) to the Rutgers community. In the first event of the series, Brian Strom, chancellor of RBHS, will discuss how Rutgers mobilized to fight the COVID-19 pandemic from every angle. You will also hear from other RBHS faculty members associated with the COVID-19 response, including:

  • David Alland, professor and chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, New Jersey Medical School; director, Center for Emerging Pathogens; director, Public Health Research Institute; director, Center for COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness
  • Vicente Gracias, professor, Department of Surgery, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School; senior vice chancellor for clinical affairs; and vice president for health affairs, Rutgers
  • Perry Halkitis, dean and professor, School of Public Health, and director, Center for Health, Identity, Behavior, and Prevention Studies
  • Mary O’Dowd DC’99, executive director, Health Systems and Population Health Integration
