
Cooking Class: Make Your Own Sushi
COME LEARN TO MAKE SUSHI!
In this class operated through CocuSocial, come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. You’ll learn to make three types of sushi rolls: California roll, Traditional Veggie Maki roll, and a Chef’s Choice tempura roll with the catch of the day. Guests will also make their own ponzu sauce. No experience is required! All the equipment and ingredients will be provided. Cocusocial’s events are meant to be casual and fun, not intense. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. RCNYC guests will be socially distanced from other booking parties, BUT will sit and work together throughout the class, meaning you will be sharing equipment and ingredients so please be mindful of your fellow cooks and sanitize your hands and stay home if you are feeling ill. Masks are recommended. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ ABOUT CHEF SANDRO Chef Sandro is originally from Mexico. He loves cooking and learning about food and different cultures. He has worked professionally in sushi and ramen restaurants, as well as summer camps where he developed his love of teaching cooking classes.
