Full Plates, Hungry Minds: The Fight to Assure Food Security at Rutgers

Share This:

What is food insecurity? It’s a lack of reliable access to affordable, nutritious meals—and it poses challenges for college students across the United States, including many here at Rutgers. On #GivingTuesday, November 30, join us for a discussion of this issue and its effects in the Rutgers community and nationally, and hear about some of the innovative programming developed to combat food insecurity at Rutgers–New Brunswick. #GivingTuesday is a global movement that occurs each year after Thanksgiving, enabling people to come together to support important causes. This year, as in past years, Rutgers is focusing its #GivingTuesday efforts on fighting student hunger and building support for food pantries across the university.
