Gliding into the Unknown: RU COOL in Action
30 Years of Ocean Exploration to Advance Climate Science
The world’s oceans regulate the planet’s climate and are central to the global economy, food supply, and energy resources. Despite this, the ocean remains one of the most unexplored areas on Earth.
For more than three decades, the Rutgers University Center for Ocean Observing Leadership (RU COOL) has deployed an armada of underwater drones to study the oceans and help predict hurricanes and severe storms.
Join us for a reception to meet the RU COOL team. Hear about advances in research, raucous adventures at sea, cool ocean robots, and how Rutgers is educating the next generation of scientists in this challenging field.
