Despite our current environment and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, cancer still exists and, unfortunately, new patients are diagnosed every day. Cancer does not stop. And we don’t plan to either. At Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, we aim to provide the most advanced, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients. Now more than ever, funding is needed to help researchers make scientific discoveries and transform those breakthroughs into clinical practice.
Inspired by our friends and long-time supporters Scott and Aileen Glickman, organizers of the cycling fundraiser Century for the Cure, we strive to continue their legacy and the immeasurable impact the event has made over the past 15 years. While global lockdowns have halted large gatherings around the globe, we know you are still eager to stay active and find ways to aid our mission. Rutgers Cancer Institute is taking that thirst for physical activity, camaraderie, and desire to help… virtual! Though we may not be able to get together this fall, we can certainly come together to raise funds to further the groundbreaking research efforts and maintain the quality patient care people have come to expect at Rutgers Cancer Institute.
During this time of separation, through our Going the Extra Mile campaign, you are invited to get active – whether it be cycling, walking, running, dancing, or anything that excites you – to raise funds for cancer research. From September 15 through October 31, participate in any activity within your own neighborhood in support of Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
