GSEAA New Alumni Event: A Celebration of 2022 Graduates

The RUGSEAA invites the 2022 GSE Graduates to be our guests as we celebrate with an invited speaker, a virtual toast, and very special gifts for eight of the 2020 graduates who attend.

The agenda for this evening includes a presentation titled: “Lessons of Inclusivity: Teaching Diversity Through the Politics of Interracial Friendship from Jefferson to Obama” which is based on his forthcoming book, Stars and Shadows: The Politics of Interracial Friendship from Jefferson to Obama.  Prof. Ambar will discuss cases in American history that illuminate the importance for leaders, educators, and others, of reorienting their institutions towards full equality and racial justice.

This session is free of charge for all who register. Three graduates will receive diploma frames sized for Rutgers’ Master/PhD GSE, two gift certificates to be used at the Rutgers Bookstore to assist with graduation expenses and five graduates will receive copies of Prof. Ambar’s book.
