Idealistic, Pragmatic, Bold: Women Leaders Transform Higher Education
The book Junctures in Women’s Leadership: Higher Education (Rutgers University Press, 2020) brings into sharp focus the unique attributes of women leaders in the academy. Join the book’s co-editors, Carmen Twillie Ambar, president, Oberlin College; Carol Christ DC’66, chancellor, University of California–Berkeley; and Michele Ozumba DC’73, GSNB’77, former president of the Women’s College Coalition, for a discussion of the challenges these leaders faced, including injustice, declining enrollment and resources, and fundamental questions about the mission of a university. The conversation will be moderated by Rebecca Mark, director, Rutgers’ Institute for Women’s Leadership.
