RAA Visit to the W. M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience

Join Rutgers Alumni Association (RAA) members for a program at the W. M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience on the Rutgers campus. The program includes a presentation of the Center’s work followed by a tour of the Center and lab area. Note: The Center is completely handicapped accessible. The Center was established to develop effective treatments for spinal cord injury and is in the process of organizing clinical trials. Research in this field is applicable to brain injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, ALS, and other problems of the central nervous system. Since its beginnings the Center’s research has expanded to include Down Syndrome, HIE, hearing loss, recovery of sensation, mesenchymal stem cell therapy, stem cells to study neurogenesis and neural diseases, human umbilical cord blood, neuropsychiatric conditions and health, and community engagement.
