Rudy Carmenaty RC’87 serves as a Bureau Chief in the Office of the Nassau County Attorney, the Director of Legal Services for the Nassau County Department of Social Services, and the Language Access Coordinator for the Nassau County Executive. In these roles, he serves as lead counsel and advises on the legal ramifications of policies and programs, and coordinates the implementation of Nassau County’s Language Access efforts.

Rudy is President of the Columbia Law School Association, a trustee of the Theodore Roosevelt Association, a member of the Nassau County Police Reserves and is active in the Cuban American community on Long Island. A member of the American Bar Association, the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association; he sits on the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Bar Association and is the Vice-Chair of its Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the Columbia Law School, where he was Administrative Editor of the Columbia-VLA Journal of Law & the Arts, and he earned a BA with Honors from Rutgers College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is admitted to the bar of the State of New York and the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.
