SEBS Virtual Science Cafe: Unwelcome Visitors: Pests in the Urban Environment
Our homes and buildings are surrounded by numerous insects and animals. Some of them are nuisances or pests that interfere with our daily life, cause damage to structures, or affect people’s health. In urban areas, increasing development and industrialization are leading to growing pest problems in the urban environment. Learning how to prevent and control these nuisance pests safely and effectively will reduce the adverse effects brought on by their activities.
