Michael Brodman ENG'75, Daphne Semet RC'84, and Mikit Patel SAS'13
Dr. Michael Brodman is the Ellen and Howard C. Katz Chairman’s Chair in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is a graduate of Rutgers School of Engineering, Class of 1975
Dr. Brodman has gained national recognition as a physician/educator in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prior to assuming the chairmanship, Dr. Brodman was the director of the Division of Gynecology and the Residency Program Director. Internationally, Dr. Brodman is involved in several global health initiatives. He serves on the Board of the International Organization for Women and Development, a group that travels to Niger to perform fistula repair surgery.
Daphne Semet is the Vice Chairman for Finance and Administration at the Department of Pathology, Molecular & Cell-Based Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine, at the Mount Sinai Medical center. The Mount Sinai Department of Pathology is the largest academic department of pathology in the United States. She has been employed by Mount Sinai for the last 32 years and has run a variety of departments, after receiving her MBA from the joint Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Baruch University’s Zicklin School of Business, after graduating from Rutgers College in 1984.
Mikit Patel is an Administrative Manager in the Department of Pathology, Molecular & Cell-Based Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In this role, he is responsible for various administrative functions of the many clinical and research laboratories within Pathology. He graduated from the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences in May 2013, with a BS in Applied Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Prior to joining Mount Sinai in 2018, Mikit worked in private practice physical therapy and completed a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Hofstra University.
