Looking for fun summer programs for your kids? Rutgers offers a number of camps and special programs—both in person and virtual—for alumni and their families.
Scarlet KIDS Summer Camp: Children entering grades one through six can enjoy an all-inclusive, full-day recreational summer camp on Rutgers’ George H. Cook and Douglass campuses. Fee includes the entire camp day, all activities, meals, and a camp T-shirt.
Virtual Summer Art Camp at Zimmerli Art Museum: Children between the ages of 9 and 13 are invited to explore their creativity and develop new skills in the arts alongside teaching artists in virtual classrooms during weekly morning sessions from July 6 to 30. Classes include such favorites as “The Secrets of Drawing” and “Art Meets Science,” as well as new ones, “Art Around the World” and “Say It with Art—Making Art with a Message.”
Rutgers Community Arts at Mason Gross School of the Arts: Join this vibrant artistic community online this summer. Choose from programs in art and design, dance, film and animation, music, and theater. Explore, create, and perform under the guidance of faculty from the state’s premier arts conservatory. Financial aid available for most programs.
Summer Bridge Math Program: Designed for first through fifth graders, this program is ideal for those who want to reinforce learning gains made during the previous year or get a preview of the math topics they will face in the coming year.
Summer Scholars Program: Designed for high-achieving high school students, the Rutgers Summer Scholars Program provides an opportunity to take up to two introductory-level college courses at one of the nation’s top research universities.
Test Prep Program | ACT/SAT: Choose from a variety of online classes that help students gain confidence and maximize their performance on high-stakes undergraduate admissions tests.
Pre-College Summer Academies | Law, Leadership, or Physical Therapy: Students ages 16–18 can explore their interests and earn college credit during these one- and two-week academies in law, leadership, or physical therapy.
