When the News Broke
Responding to the events of 9/11 in 2001, the three student-run newspapers at Rutgers—the Daily Targum in New Brunswick, the Observer in Newark, and the Gleaner in Camden—covered the horrific event and its aftermath, including the impact on the university community. Eighteen years later, the students who contributed as reporters, editors, and columnists are Rutgers alumni.
