Rutgers students, families, alumni, and friends are invited for events spanning Thursday, October 17 through Sunday, October 20, in New Brunswick and Piscataway.
This year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend will be highlighted by the Scarlet Knights football team hosting the UCLA Bruins in SHI Stadium at noon on Saturday, October 19. During the game, a newly commissioned mural of Paul Robeson by renowned painter Alonzo Adams MGSA’84 will be unveiled in the stadium. All are welcome to enjoy the Rutgers Boardwalk outside the stadium. It features games, family friendly activities, giveaways, and more.
Additional activities over the four days starting Thursday, October 17, include the following:
• Athletic events, including women’s tennis and volleyball matches, a men’s cross country meet, and field hockey and soccer games.
• The 16th annual Homecoming bed races featuring teams of students on the College Avenue Campus.
• A concert by Rutgers Symphonic Winds & Rutgers Symphony Band.
• A theatrical performance by the Rutgers Theater Company.
