A day of festivities on September 27 will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Rutgers University–New Brunswick Class of 1974, as well as the classes of 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, and 1969.

Rutgers–New Brunswick alumni with landmark anniversaries from 50 years ago and every five years prior, going back to 1949, will be honored with a daylong celebration of activities on the College Avenue campus.

Reunion activities begin at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast at the Zimmerli Art Museum, followed by a Rutgers Oral History Archives presentation then lunch at 11:30 a.m. with fellow classmates, featuring university leadership.

After lunch, the reunion parade will begin at the Zimmerli, with each class carrying a banner, and head to the Old Queens campus, culminating with the ringing of the Old Queens Bell. Alumni can also enjoy a campus bus tour led by student leaders.

A closing reception will be held 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. at the Alumni House at Van Nest Hall featuring a student musician from the Rutgers Concert Bureau.
